Megan Fox frolics on a Hawaii beach in a bikini... but her famous curves are gone

She is only the second woman in history to be honoured with FHM's Sexiest Woman Alive crown two years running in 2008-2009. But Megan Fox lost her title this year to Victoria's Secret model Marissa Miller, and judging by these pictures, it's not that surprising.

The actress, who shot to fame as Shia LeBeouf's smouldering love interest in Transformers, looked painfully thin as she frolicked on a beach in Hawaii.

The 24-year-old has returned for a Christmas holiday to the place where she wed husband Brian Austin Green on June 24. Megan wore a black polka dot bikini as she tested the waters, but didn't appear to enjoy the temperature as she tiptoed gingerly into the shallow waves. Megan was also wearing her giant diamond wedding ring into the water.

It was a brave move on her part given that she lost the expensive ring in the sand in Hawaii just after their wedding this summer. And while the face of Emporio Armani underwear is famous for filling out her bikini and lingerie particularly well, her decolletage appeared distinctly smaller than usual.

Fox's rib cage was visible as she strolled along the sand and her hip bones clearly visible.

Her husband of six months didn't seem to mind her diminished appearance, and was seen admiring his wife's figure as they enjoyed the sunshine. The couple brought along 37-year-old Austin Green's son Kassius, 8, for the Christmas holiday

A casually dressed Megan and Brian were spotted doing some last-minute shopping this week before jetting of Los Angeles for the holiday. They were wed on the beach in Hawaii by a local kahuna - a Hawaiian priest - and Kassius as the sole witness, at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai over the summer.

After making her name as the seductive female lead in the Transformers movies, Megan was dropped for the third installment in favour of English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. There have been disputing reports over whether Fox quit the franchise or was fired, after a public spat with director Michael Bay last year.

Megan said in an interview that the blockbuster filmmaker was 'A nightmare to work for,' while crew members on the film returned fire, saying she was very unpopular on set. Her last two films, Jennifer's Body and Jonah Hex, have failed to light up the box office after the stunning success of Transformers. But Megan is currently working with Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Saturday Night Live comedienne Kristen Wiig on a comedy, Friends With Kids, slated for release in 2012.
