The Ingredients:
• MTV's sometimes-redemptive, voyeuristic guilty-pleasure, Made
• Ford Motors
• James Bond: Quantum of Solace
Put 'em in a pot and what do you got? A corporate marketer's wet dream:
Ford of Europe is promoting the appearance of its Ka marque in the upcoming Bond film Quantum of Solace tonight, in MTV's reality series Made.
"MTV MADE gave Ford the opportunity to really set its own content and ideas to connect with the target audience of young independent females, of the type that would consider the all-new Ford Ka as representative of their attitude and aspirations."
The synergy-tasticalness of this project is overwhelming. At this point you can't even be disgusted by MTV's use of a teenage girl's dream to simultaneously promote a shitty movie and a new type of car (that will be used in the shitty movie), you just have to sit back and marvel at the ingenuity of whatever marketing guy drank enough Red Bulls at the brains storming session to come up with a triple endorsement like this.
PS: The Ford Ka is the fugliest effing car since those boxy Volkswagens.
