The couple shared some intimate moments under the protective shade of their cabana and his female companion helped him reapply his suntan lotion. McDermott first gained notoriety for his role in the 1989 film Steel Magnolias alongside Julia Roberts - who he began dating during filming.
His career has seen him star in several successful television shows including The Grid, with Julianna Margulies and the Jerry Bruckheimer drama for TNT, Dark Blue.

The young lady seen with the actor is a doppelganger for the star's ex-wife Shiva Rose, whom he divorced officially in January 2009. The pair had been married for 14-years and had two children together, Colette, 14 and Charlotte, 5. McDermott will next hit our screens in the movie Burning Palms alongside Zoe Saldana and Rosamund Pike. The actor is a recovering alcoholic and has been sober for over 20 years.
