She was delighted at getting a free make-over and haircut. But these intimate family photos show Stacey Solomon before she was turned into an X Factor starlet. In one, the Essex mother-of-one poses make-up free in a floral pink bikini in a snap that possibly doesn't catch her from the most flattering angle.

The 20-year-old is seen in another sporting dark brown hair, sipping on a cocktail from a goldfish bowl-sized glass on a night out. And in another, she plays the doting mother alongside her now ex-boyfriend Dean Cox and their young son Zachary.

The pictures, which were posted on her Facebook page, are a far cry from her new styled appearance for her weekly stints on the hit ITV show. Stacey is now rocking newly layered hair, complete with fringe. She has also had her teeth whitened, along with the rest of her fellow contestants, to achieve the desirable Hollywood smile.

Some of the best 'Staceyisms':
When asked what she'd do if she didn't get through to the live finals:
'There's always Asda!'
On being on TV:
'I think TV is real - I forget other people are watching it at the same time as me.'
On her job in a chip shop:
'At least I got to eat all the saveloys.'
Asked how one of her auditions went:
'People keep asking me that, but I don't think most of the time to be honest.'
On her new makeover:
'I was just happy cos I got a free haircut.'
She is fast developing a reputation as one of the most amusing X Factor contestants, with her hilarious one-liners and dizzy comments. For instance, asked how one of her auditions went, she replied: 'People keep asking me that, but I don't think most of the time to be honest.' And on her new make-over, she added: 'I was just happy cos I got a free haircut,' Heat magazine reported. With her non-stop giggling and stream of insane 'Staceyisms' she is sure to provide much more entertainment for fans of the show. But she is also a force to be reckoned with, after impressing with her rendition of Coldplay's The Scientist on Saturday's show.
Her mentor Dannii Minogue told her after her performance: 'I just want to say a huge thank you for coming out of your comfort zone on show one. 'So brave, so stripped back and raw. We’ve all talked about your personality but I’m glad we got to hear you sing so beautifully.' And Simon Cowell added: 'What I love about you Stacey is that you have no idea how good you could be. 'You’ve come on the live shows singing Coldplay when you could have done something easier. Genius. You are potentially very good and there is more to come from you.'
