Kelsey Grammer's estranged wife Camille strips to bikini on reality show filmed while marriage was under strain

They'd been married for 14 years with two children together and she was enjoying the trappings of being married to a Hollywood star. But when Kelsey Grammer's estranged wife Camille Donatacci agreed to take part in reality TV show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, she had little idea what she thought was her perfect life was about to come crashing around her ears. Camille, 42, stripped to a turquoise bikini in the show last night, showing her ex husband - now with 29-year-old flight attendant Kayte Walsh - what he's missing.

Camille said she was looking forward to being 'more independent' from Kelsey as she chatted with friends - unaware their marriage was actually over

However, when the scenes were filmed, the curvaceous blonde was unaware that her marriage was falling apart and her partner was about to leave her for a younger model. Last night's show saw Camille visiting the Grammer family's idyllic Hawaiian pad with her children and friends as she spoke about enjoying time apart from her husband. She also said she hoped to regain some independence after devoting 12 years to 'keeping him sober' - a pertinent case of being careful what you wish for.

In the series - dubbed 'lifestyles of the bitch and famous' - the former model, dancer and mother of daughter Mason Olivia, 9, and son Jude Gordon, six, boasts of employing four nannies. However, she insists: 'Just because somebody hires nannies, doesn't mean they're not there for their children. I'm here all the time for my children.' She also brags about how she travels, saying flippantly: 'Kelsey and I have been flying private for years until recently, now we're taking more commercial, you know, we're trying to be green.

The show is the sixth in the 'Real Housewives' reality Bravo TV franchise, which casts an insiders' eye into the privileged lives of women in various parts of the US, including Orange County, New Jersey, New York City, DC and Atlanta.

Others on the show include Paris Hilton's aunts Kim Richards, a former child star who gave up her career to raise four children and her sister, Kyle Richards, another mother of four and a former child star. Camille filed for divorce from former Cheers and Frasier star Grammer in July.

Talking about their split last month, Camille told People magazine: 'I was completely blindsided. I was shocked. In the beginning, it was like a fairy tale, he completely swept me off my feet. I did not expect this.'

'We were together for 14 years and suddenly he's gone. He's just gone.' 'He basically said "I don't want to be married anymore". I started crying and he said "Oh grow up". I said "What about our children?" and he said "They'll get over it".'

Grammer and Walsh, who live together in his New York apartment, were expecting a baby earlier this year but Walsh had a miscarriage in September. Grammer has two older daughters, Spencer, and Greer, from previous relationships
