Socialite Tinsley Mortimer swaps party scene for beach frolic with her boyfriend

It's a tough life being a socialite. Party girl turned reality TV star Tinsley Mortimer doesn't seem to mind as she soaks up the sun on vacation in West Palm Beach, Florida. The 34-year-old and her boyfriend Brian Mazza frolicked in the surf and relaxed on the sand clearly without a care in the world.

Both Tinsley and 26-year-old Brian showed off their matching tanned and toned physiques in bright swimwear, with Tinsley showing off her curves in a navy and white laced bikini.Brian opted for a bright floral pair of shorts.


The loved up couple, who have been dating for around a year clearly couldn't keep their hands off each other as they kissed and cuddled in the waves. They then held hands as they walked down the shore line.

Mortimer is a regular in the society papers of New York's newspapers and a darling of the club scene. She also appeared in a reality TV show, called High Society, which debuted in the U.S. last May. In addition to her night clubbing and her TV show, Mortimer is a fashion designer with a range of handbags and clothing. She also appeared on the season two première of Gossip Girl playing herself.

Maria Kirilenko, Daniela Hantuchova and Tatiana Golovin posed in skimpy bikinis

They're accomplished on clay and great on grass. And as these pictures show, they're pretty hot on sand too. Tennis players Maria Kirilenko, Daniela Hantuchova and Tatiana Golovin posed for the swimsuit edition of the American Sports Illustrated magazine. Clad in skimpy bikinis, they rolled around on a beach in the Dominican Republic.

Miss Golovin, 21, was born in Moscow but now lives in North London with her boyfriend, Arsenal player Samir Nasri. Her highest singles ranking to date is 12 and she reached the U.S. Open quarter-finals in 2006. Miss Kirilenko, 22, also hails from Moscow and her highest ranking was 18th in the world last year.

Miss Hantuchova is from Slovakia and has reached both the quarter-finals of the U.S. Open and Wimbledon, which starts next week.
Darcie Baum, who ran the shoot, said Miss Golovin was the most obliging model. 'Personality-wise, she was just a lot of fun. She was like, "You want me to hang upside down? Sure. Take my top off? Sure."

Kirilenko was the most modest, probably because her mother, Olga, was watching.' The Sports Illustrated shoot is becoming a tradition for women tennis players. In 2006 Maria Sharapova posed, and the year before it was Venus Williams. Steffi Graff started the trend in 1997, followed by Serena Williams in 2003 and 2004. Anna Kournikova also posed in 2004.

Heroes star Ali Larter gave her super powers a rest during an afternoon at Malibu beach yesterday. The actress, who plays Niki Sanders in the hit series, frolicked on the sand in a black string bikini, accompanied by her fiancé actor Hayes MacArthur.

The 32-year-old put her carefully honed body on show, and admits she's proud of her hard-earned physique. She told Allure magazine: 'When I'm in really good shape, I like my butt. It's juicy - that's what my fiancé says.'

But she hasn't escaped Hollywood's obsession with size zero, revealing that she was once told to shed some pounds while shooting a movie. 'The faxes went out from the producers and the director to my agents to my manager to call me and ask me to lose weight,' she says.

She may combine being a single mother with working full time, but reality star Kelly Bensimon still manages to fit in plenty of days at the beach. For the second day in a row, the jewellery designer sunned herself in Miami today, showing off her gym-honed body in a steel grey Tomas Maier bikini. She was joined by her friend Jonathan Cheban, of Spin City, who kept his clothes on as he walked beside her in the surf.

Beach beauty: Kate Moss adjusts her teeny swimming costume

Model Kate Moss adjusts her teeny tiny swimsuit as she gets down to the business of work on a photo shoot in the Caribbean. The 33-year-old model left her boyfriend Pete Doherty, 29, at home when she flew to St Barts earlier this week for a series of assignments.

Kate was seen lying seductively in the sand for the modelling assignment, with beach blonde hair, and a revealing black costume. It was clearly a day to get down to business, in contrast with pictures of her yesterday which showed her having a nice cup of a tea and a few fags, while relaxing on a sun-lounger.

An onlooker said: "Kate was relaxing on her own. She was sunbathing topless and looked totally chilled as she smoked many cigarettes." Her career, now fully recovered from the cocaine scandal of 2005, is set to get a further boost as her first collection is due to hit the shelves of Top Shop soon. The contrast between Kate, who escaped prosecution for her drug-taking, and her most famous supermodel contemporary currently slumming it on community service, couldn't be greater.

Britain bakes during the hottest day of the year ... but rain is on the way

It might have been a different country, never mind a different month. Just two weeks ago, the River Greta in County Durham was in full flow and stormy clouds gathered ominously in the background. But yesterday, on the hottest day of the year, the watercourse was transformed into a sunbaked ditch, with just the odd puddle to trouble crossing walkers.

But Britain wouldn't be Britain if yesterday's heatwave had come to stay. Where blue skies dominated the skyline throughout the country already this morning, clouds were gathering ominously.

Forecasters predict that our recent good weather is set to break today with rain showers predicted across much of the country. A Met Office spokesman said: ' Yesterday a new record for 2008 was set in London at 28.1C. 'But the bad news is that this heatwave is just a one- day wonder. Forget the beach, the rain is coming - and it is set to last all weekend.'

At 28.1C (82F) yesterday, London was hotter than many parts of Africa, California and the Mediterranean. In Barcelona it was 27C (81F) and Los Angeles 24C (75F). And at Wimbledon, the drizzly memory of last year's tournament evaporated in the heat. Then, after the wettest June on record, July had begun with a similar blitz and Britain reeled from a week of torrential rain, floods and gale-force winds. The All England Club was forced to pay out £1million in ticket refunds as play was ruined.

Scotland and Northern parts of England will have some scattered sunshine, but the South-East will be subjected to some short, sharp thunderstorms. Temperatures will tumble back to the average for July of 21C (70F), before falling further at the weekend when further deluges are expected.

For the rest of this week, the damp weather is set to continue as temperatures drop to 19C (66F) tomorrow. There will be showers on Friday and Saturday is set to be very wet for most of us. On Sunday the rain will continue with temperatures of 18C (64F).

Body hang-ups cause women to waste money on bikinis they never use

UK women are wasting an estimated quarter of a billion pounds on swimwear which they never actually use, according to new research. More than one in 10 (11 per cent) women admit they have been so scared at the prospect of wearing a bikini that they have not gone on holiday at all.

On average, £285 million is spent on new swimsuits every summer, yet 45 per cent are never worn. The survey, carried out by Tesco, also claims that 28 per cent of women feel that wearing a swimsuit is what they dread most about their holiday.

Almost a third (30 per cent) resort to wearing a T-shirt over their swimwear, while 12 per cent avoid the beach or pool altogether. The survey follows the news that British holidaymakers are 'airbrushing' their snaps in a bid to hide imperfections. High Street chain Snappy Snaps said the number of customers requesting the photographic equivalent of a nip and tuck had risen fivefold.

Nudists outraged as naked sunbathing is banned on Cadiz beaches

Exhibitionists hoping for an all-over tan could face hefty fines for stripping off on beaches in Cadiz, Spain. The popular holiday resort's Town Hall has decided it wants no more naked bodies on the beach and holidaymakers could now face a fine of up to 750 euros for revealing all. However, the decision has been slammed by outraged members of the public and the Spanish Naturist Federation who have declared the ruling illegal and unconstitutional.

The vague law has raised questions about whether 'nudism' includes topless sunbathing or if parents would be fined for a naked baby on the beach, as the person responsible for a minor. In general many bathers questioned said they didn't have a problem with those that wish to frolic about in their birthday suit and disagree with the wholesale banning of the practice.

However, suggestions were made that designated nudist beaches should be assigned in the area.Stripping off on the beach has been considered legal in Spain for the last two decades and the Naturist Federation claims that the fines could damage the tourism market in the area, as many nudists come from around Europe to enjoy this freedom.

The Spanish Tourist Board estimates that around 1.5million tourists visit Spain every summer with the express aim of practicing naturism. But Cadiz Town Hall has defended its decision by saying that the beaches are being taken over by nudists, putting off families who use them. Local police have been passing the message on to sunbathers, but so far no one has been given a fine.

Actor Orlando Bloom has ruled himself out of another episode of high-jinks on the high seas for successful film franchise Pirates Of The Caribbean. Primarily because the romantic star did not want to leave stunning girlfriend Miranda Kerr. But as some of the shots show the model topless, the brand which made models Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima should expect a drop in profits.The 26-year-old Australian is said to be the main reason actor boyfriend and Pirates of The Caribbean star Orlando Bloom will not be appearing in the next film.

It was recently reported that Bloom and Kerr had been looking at buying a $13 million Malibu home together.

Last month the pair were seen viewing at houses together in Los Angeles in an exclusive celebrity enclave. 'The couple looked so in love and so relaxed,' a source told X17 Online. 'They seem so happy together - a perfect match. You could see Miranda getting all dreamy-eyed when they looked at this house.

There are also rumours that the pair plan to wed, with Bloom having given his other half an ultimatum. She has already twice turned down his marriage proposals, but he plans to ask her again this summer.

A source told: ‘He has told her he wants to marry her and will propose again this summer. If she says no, he’s said it will be over.’ Earlier this month the Lord of the Rings actor had to jet back to LA after his home was broken into by thieves. At the time it was reported that £300,000-worth of belongings were taken, including vintage watches, jewellery and cash.
